Envelope Gaskets

Envelope gaskets, also known as PTFE envelope gaskets, consist of a PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) outer shell encasing a soft, compressible core material, often made of rubber or elastomer.
The PTFE outer layer provides excellent chemical resistance, while the core material provides flexibility and sealing capabilities.
Envelope gaskets are commonly used in applications involving corrosive chemicals or high temperatures.
This gasket design prevents PTFE creep and cold flow
Typical materials: PTFE/Teflon® with EPDM or FKM/Viton™ filler
Sizes available: 1/2” up to 12”
