Barbed Sanitary Tri-Clamp Adapters

Sentinel offers a variety of high-purity barbed, Tri-Clamp compatible fittings for the Bio/Pharmaceutical and single-use disposable industry. These barbed sanitary adapter fittings are compatible with all standard sanitary clamps.

Available in Polypropylene and PVDF, both of which have excellent chemical resistance. While both materials are autoclavable, PVDF has a higher temperature resistance than polypropylene. Mini TC’s available with 1/8” up to 3/4” hose barb. 1.5” TC’s available with 1/4” up to 1” hose barb. Custom sizes are also available for specialized applications.

Barbed Sanitary Tri-Clamp Adapters with Fused Gasketing

These Sanitary Fittings use a distinct method — integrating an elastomeric TPE gasket fused into a single sanitary fitting to create a one-piece composite structure. The result is a gendered fitting that can be used in conjunction with any standard sanitary connection. It provides superior ergonomics and less risk of contamination. Mini TC’s available with 1/8” up to 3/4” hose barb. 1.5” TC’s available with 1/4” up to 1” hose barb.

Concentric Sanitary Tri-Clamp Reducers

Sentinel Process supplies PVDF and animal-derived ingredient free (ADIF) Polypropylene Tri-Clamp concentric reducers without sharp internal angles. These designs protect sensitive cells and minimize turbulence in various biopharma and pharmaceutical process applications. Sizes include 3/4” up to 4”.

Overmolded Tri-Clamp Assemblies

Sentinel provides overmolded tri-clamp ends for the following tubing and hose types as a single-use alternative to sanitary connections:

  • PVC
  • TPE
  • TPR

Sentinel’s Overmolded Tri-Clamp Ends are injection-molded from either polypropylene or USP Class VI Hytrel®. These components mitigate risk commonly associated with barb-type fittings, such as bioburden entrapment situations.

They cost less than silicone counterparts, making them an attractive option for applications in industries such as:

  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Food and beverage
  • Medical
  • Surgical
  • Dairy

Sanitary Nylon Tri-Clamps

These Sanitary Tri-Clamps are designed for use as a component in single-use transfer lines and a wide range of bioprocess systems. These Sanitary Tri-Clamps are made from FDA-grade, glass-reinforced USP Class VI Nylon. Unlike standard stainless steel clamps, their design prevents damage and distortion to nonmetallic ferrules in both nonmetallic/nonmetallic and nonmetallic/metallic connections.

Due to their lightweight construction, plastic clamps are recommended over stainless steel for applications requiring weight reduction or involving reduced thermal conductivity.

Color-coded knobs are available in:

  • White
  • Blue
  • Red
  • Yellow
  • Green

Mini TC’s available 1/8” up to 3/4”. Standard TC’s available in 1.5” up to 4”.

Single-Use Tube Fittings FAQs

Discover answers to common questions about our single-use sanitary tube fittings.

What Is the Difference Between Standard Sanitary Fittings and Single-Use Fittings?

While standard sanitary fittings are designed for long-term use and reuse, single-use fittings enable manufacturers to maintain efficiency and prevent cross-contamination between small batches.

Single-use fittings are made from high-quality polymers such as polypropylene to ensure sterility and minimize leaching. Standard sanitary fittings are typically made from stainless steel or other high-grade metals that can withstand repeated cleaning and sterilization.

What Pressure Levels Can Be Used With Sentinel’s Single-Use Fittings?

Optimal pressure levels are specific to each type and model of single-use fittings, so it’s best to speak with a product expert to determine which fitting is right for your application. We invite you to contact our team with any questions you may have about your application.
