Sentinel offers a variety of high-purity barbed, Tri-Clamp compatible fittings for the Bio/Pharmaceutical and single-use disposable industry. These barbed sanitary adapter fittings are compatible with all standard sanitary clamps. Available in Polypropylene and PVDF, both of which have excellent chemical resistance. While both materials are autoclavable, PVDF will withstand higher temperatures than that of polypropylene before breaking down. Mini TC’s available with 1/8” up to ¾” hose barb. 1.5” TC’s available with 1/4” up to 1” hose barb. Custom sizes also available.
These Sanitary Fittings use a unique approach that incorporates an elastomeric TPE gasket fused into a singular sanitary fitting, forming a one-piece composite design. The result is a gendered fitting that can be used in conjunction with any standard sanitary connection. It provides superior ergonomics and less risk of contamination. Mini TC’s available with 1/8” up to ¾” hose barb. 1.5” TC’s available with ¼” up to 1” hose barb.
Sentinel Process supplies PVDF and animal-derived ingredient free (ADIF) Polypropylene Tri-Clamp concentric reducers. These Concentric TC Reducers are designed without sharp internal angles to protect sensitive cells and minimize turbulence in bio-pharmaceutical process applications. Sizes include ¾” up to 4”.
An alternative for sanitary connections is Overmolded Tri-Clamp Ends for PVC, TPE, and TPR tubing and hose. Injection-molded from USP Class VI Hytrel® or polypropylene, Overmolded Tri-Clamp Ends feature Tri-Clamp and mini Tri-Clamp styles up to 1-1/2″. Overmolded Tri-Clamp Ends greatly reduce bioburden entrapment situations associated with barb-type fittings. They cost less than silicone counterparts, making them an attractive option for pharmaceutical, medical, surgical, food, beverage, and dairy applications.
These Sanitary Tri-Clamps are manufactured using a glass-reinforced, FDA grade, USP Class VI Nylon and are designed to be used as a component for single-use transfer lines and a wide range of bioprocess systems. Developed for use in both non-metallic/non-metallic and non-metallic/metallic connections, the clamps won’t damage or distort non-metallic ferrules as standard stainless steel clamps might. More lightweight than their stainless steel clamp counterparts, plastic clamps are recommended for applications requiring weight reduction or involving reduced thermal conductivity. Color-coded knobs available in white, blue, red, yellow and green. Mini TC’s available 1/8” up to 3/4”. Standard TC’s available in 1.5” up to 4”.
